SK Hynix Cancels the Listing Plan of Its Subsidiary Solidigm in the US; Regulatory Review and Shareholder Opposition Become Obstacles
2026-10-23 07:16:31
According to CoinMeta, SK Hynix has abandoned its plan to list its Solidigm business in the US, due to strong opposition from shareholders and facing regulatory scrutiny. The controversy focuses on the concern that this move may harm the interests of minority shareholders. According to regulatory documents submitted by the company on Friday, SK Hynix has also paused the pre-investment introduction process of IPO that was progressing in tandem with the listing plan. Solidigm is a flash memory business subsidiary of SK Hynix, which was originally planned to pursue a potential listing in the US next year. This reversal of plans stems from concerns by South Korean regulators regarding "dual listings"; the regulatory authorities believe that such a listing could constitute a dual listing and dilute the interests of existing shareholders.
