According to CoinMeta, the privacy coin project Pirate Chain ( ARrr ) announced that on October 14th, attackers exploited two transaction verification vulnerabilities to illegally mint approximately 39.82 million ARrr tokens, causing the token supply to temporarily increase by about 20%. The project team stated that the vulnerabilities have been fixed, and after reaching a consensus with the community, mining pools, exchanges, and DPoW notarized nodes, they decided to roll back the blockchain to the 4,176,944th block before the attack to remove the illegally issued tokens. Officials have requested all users, miners, and exchanges to immediately upgrade to v6.0.14 or a later version and to stop using older versions.
