Palantir guarantees Europe that it is impossible to cut off the NATO AI system

According to CoinMeta, an American software company Palantir assured Europe that the military artificial intelligence system it provides for NATO does not have an “emergency switch” ( kill switch ). Previously, disruptions to Ukraine’s “Starlink” service heightened concerns about over-reliance on American technology companies. Last week, Ukraine reported that its military-grade satellite service “Starshield” ( starshield ) was restricted, which hindered the country’s ability to carry out various tasks, such as using interceptor drones to defend against Russian attacks. Ukrainian officials, the United States, and Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, provided contradictory explanations for this service disruption, but Ukrainian and European officials stated that they suspected political motives were at play. Louis Mosley, the executive vice president in charge of business in the UK and Europe, said that neither the company nor the U.S. government has the capability to shut down the “maven intelligent system” artificial intelligence platform used by NATO’s military headquarters and armed forces in several European countries.
