CoinMeta data: Analyst Darkfost pointed out in a post that the average weekly trading volume of Binance's gold perpetual contract (XAU) has exceeded $12.3 billion, representing a growth of about 224% from $3.8 billion in April this year. Recently, the daily trading volume once reached $3.5 billion. Since Binance launched gold futures, the cumulative trading volume of derivatives has approached $320 billion. Darkfost stated that although the price of gold has fallen by nearly 30% from its peak of around $5,595, global economic and geopolitical uncertainties continue to drive investors to seek gold exposure, and the ongoing pressure on the crypto market has also prompted some traders to turn to gold-related derivatives.
