2026-10-20 22:15:17
According to CoinMeta, the Injective blockchain has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korean digital asset custodian BDACS. They plan to introduce the won-stabilized coin KRW1 issued by BDACS into the real-world asset (RWA) ecosystem of Injective, to be used as the exclusive won-denominated asset for tokenized asset trading and settlement. This will allow related transactions to be conducted without the need for conversion through US dollar-stabilized coins. KRW1 is backed by won reserves at a 1:1 ratio. Related minting and redemption processes will only be available to approved institutional partners and must meet regulatory approval requirements. As of now, neither party has disclosed a specific launch date.
