According to CoinMeta, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino issued a statement refuting the analysis of Senator Richard Blumenthal of the sanctions report on Tether. He stated that since 2023, Tether has been freezing relevant addresses about 4 weeks ahead of OFAC and NBCTF officially implementing the sanctions, and 99% of these relevant addresses were frozen before being marked as Chainalysis.
