Analyst Ignas: PAPER Token Mining Rewards Cut, May Face Selling Pressure After Transfer Capability is Enabled
2026-10-19 18:36:36
According to CoinMeta, analyst Ignas stated that the mining rewards for PAPER tokens have significantly decreased. Early users could earn 100 PAPER tokens for every $1 in transaction losses, but this has now dropped to about 11 tokens. At the current rate, a $1,000 loss in transactions only results in about 10,700 PAPER tokens, generating a daily income of around $2.60 to $4.90. It would take 200 to 385 days to recover those losses. Once PAPER enables transfers, some users may sell their tokens directly to cover their losses, creating a selling pressure. Galaxy Research pointed out that the price of PAPER will affect the scale of mining and the protocol's revenue, and PAPERtrade needs to maintain a genuine demand for transactions even after the incentives decrease.
