According to CoinMeta, the IoTeX mainnet has completed a Zanzibar hard fork. According to the IIP-59 proposal, the staker rewards will be calculated and distributed directly on-chain by the protocol during each reward cycle, without the need for off-chain services or intermediaries. Anyone can directly verify each payment on-chain. The first on-chain distribution will take place tomorrow. Zanzibar strengthens the consensus mechanism through the verification of delegate key ownership, preparing for subsequent BLS signature aggregation.
