Polkadot Falls 5% Today, Pulling Back to $1.14
2026-10-18 02:02:12
According to CoinMeta, Polkadot ( DOT ) has fallen by about 5% today, retreating to $1.14, after having briefly risen to $1.29 on October 10th. Although Polkadot introduced a supply cap of 2.1 billion DOT and reduced token issuance, market demand for it still seems insufficient. The token began to rebound on October 9th, rising from around $1.09 to $1.24, but then fell again by about 7% on October 12th. Currently, the weak price of Polkadot is related to the overall selling pressure in the small-cap cryptocurrency market. Although its token economics have improved, investor sentiment and liquidity in the short term remain important factors affecting the price.
