According to CoinMeta, Anthropic has announced the latest round of performance optimization results for Claude Code. From August to October this year, the waiting time for Claude Code local sessions before receiving the first token message was reduced from 4.07 seconds to 1.33 seconds, an improvement of about 3 times. The optimization measures include using gzip to compress the dialogue data sent to the model in each round, reducing network transmission overhead during repeated uploads of long conversations. For Claude Code cloud sessions, the waiting time was reduced from 16.99 seconds to 6 seconds, an improvement of about 2.8 times. In addition, Anthropic has also introduced a pre-launch mechanism, where the system prepares the remote code execution environment in advance when the user starts typing a task. The waiting time for both web chat Claude and cowork was also reduced from 3.36 seconds to 2.17 seconds, an improvement of about 1.5 times. For Claude API, the response time for the first token message was reduced from 1.53 seconds to 1.01 second.
