According to CoinMeta, Kirill Dmitriev, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund ( RDIF ), stated that the US Treasury Department had requested the fund to assist in facilitating a diesel agreement between Washington and Moscow, including handling "payment matters and purely tactical issues" related to the agreement. Dmitriev said at the "Russian Energy Week" forum held in Moscow that the Russian Direct Investment Fund would "ensure that all payments are made effectively and reach the intended recipients accordingly." Russia and the United States are discussing a joint data center project. Dmitriev, who also serves as a special envoy for the Russian President, said, "We have a large and diverse number of projects that we are advancing." "There are obstacles, including significant resistance from various parties. But as the diesel agreement demonstrates, I believe we will announce some important measures in the near future"—these measures will be introduced before the end of the Ukraine war.
