Jeff Yan: Hyperliquid is aimed at serving traditional finance; regulation should be targeted at operating institutions
2026-10-16 10:03:22
According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bloomberg, Hyperliquid Labs co-founder Jeff Yan stated that Hyperliquid has not yet been opened to U.S. customers. Its goal is to become the underlying trading technology for traditional financial institutions, rather than to replace existing market participants. He believes that regulatory obligations should fall on financial institutions operating in blockchain markets based on Hyperliquid, rather than on the blockchain networks themselves. Such an arrangement would allow Hyperliquid to expand into Wall Street.
