According to CoinMeta, SBI Holdings and Startale have announced their joining of Open Standard. The two companies will explore interoperability between OUSD and JPYSC with the aim of enhancing the international liquidity of yen-denominated assets. Both firms will continue to deepen their collaboration with Open Standard's global partner network to build a secure, credible, and interoperable stablecoin ecosystem for the blockchain era, within the framework of applicable regulations. Keiyo Kitao, Chairman and President of SBI Holdings, stated, "We are participating in Open Standard and exploring the proof-of-concept for interoperability between OUSD and JPYSC. The SBI group has become the first in Japan to offer dollar-denominated stablecoins USDC and RLUSD, and we will continue to promote the wider adoption of digital assets through cooperation with leading partners in Japan and overseas." Sota Watanabe, CEO of Startale, said, "We believe that piloting the interoperability between JPYS and OUSD is of great significance. The yen and the dollar are among the strongest and most trusted currencies in the world; enabling seamless exchange and use of these currencies on the blockchain could unlock significant opportunities."
