Midjourney Engineer opens-source Handwired: No need for training, directly write program rules as neural networks
2026-10-15 19:39:22
According to CoinMeta, chain analyst AI reported that engineer Cheng Lou has open-sourced Handwired, which is a new method for constructing neural networks. Unlike large models such as GPT that require extensive data training, Handwired sets weights directly based on the computational rules of JavaScript, eliminating the need for a training process. This method implements program rules through mathematical operations, and users can adjust parameters with simple inputs. Cheng Lou also suggested that these fixed rule modules could be integrated into Nanogpt, which could potentially lead to more efficient computations in the future.
