2026-10-14 21:49:22
According to CoinMeta, Ledger has requested distributors in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong to stop selling its hardware wallets and remove them from the shelves, as there is an investigation into devices that may contain hidden implants. This request covers Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. Ledger stated that all confirmed losses involve devices sold through regional distributors Cryptobilis. The company is still working to determine who tampered with these devices and when, and indicated that there are no signs that its own infrastructure, systems, services, or direct sales channels have been affected.
