According to CoinMeta, the conversion of LBTC to Bitcoin on Liquid Network has been suspended for 35 days. Attackers took advantage of a vulnerability in the Elements software to obtain nearly 4,000 Bitcoins, of which about 3,400 have been returned. Currently, the wallet still holds 598.5 Bitcoins, valued at approximately $49.69 million. Blockstream has rejected the attackers' demand for a 10% bounty. Liquid Network is undergoing a security audit, while Liquid Federation is synchronizing updates to the PAK list and placing the redemption keys in cold storage. There is no specific date set for resuming redemptions yet. Some owners of LBTC have transferred their funds through Sideswap and Sideshift.ai, with the total cost of the transfer and fees amounting to about 5%.
