CoinMeta data: According to BeInCrypto, Wall Street is injecting billions of dollars into Bitcoin, but individual investors still hold the majority of the supply. Based on Bitbo and River data, individuals are estimated to possess 13.9 million BTC, accounting for 66% of the total supply. As of October 9th, there were 1.48 million BTC held by individuals, 1.66 million by corporations, and about 518,500 by governments, which together account for approximately 17% of Bitcoin's total supply. Meanwhile, it is estimated that around 1.6 million BTC are lost, with another 968,000 in wallets associated with Bitcoin's anonymous founder, Satoshi Nakamoto. As holders gradually shift, River data shows that individuals will net sell 696,000 BTC in 2025, while corporations, investment funds, and governments will purchase nearly 1 million. With this trend continuing, institutions may need to offer higher prices to persuade current holders to sell.
