CoinMeta data: Hardware wallet manufacturer Ledger is investigating reports of $86 million in stolen funds related to devices sold through Southeast Asian distributors. Blockchain investigator Specter indicates that over $86 million in cryptocurrencies may have been stolen from hundreds of wallets. Ledger has confirmed receiving reports from customers about missing funds after purchasing devices through Cryptobilis, but has not confirmed the amount of loss or the cause. As a precaution, Ledger has requested Cryptobilis to suspend all sales and deliveries. Ledger advises customers who purchased devices from this distributor within the past 90 days not to attempt to set them up. Users with activated wallets should consider transferring their assets to new devices. This potential theft incident may exacerbate the challenges in the field of crypto security, following last month's theft of over $350 million from a exchange Bitget. Other major incidents include losses of approximately $320 million from Liquid Network, $295 million from Drift, and $293 million from Kelp.
