2026-10-09 20:37:45
According to CoinMeta, on-chain analyst specter reported that there have been several incidents recently where users' wallet assets on x and Reddit were stolen. By tracing the relevant theft addresses, it was identified that funds from hundreds of affected wallets flowed into accounts on multiple networks, including Ethereum, Tron, and Bitcoin, resulting in a total loss of over 86 million US dollars. Currently, some Reddit users are reporting that their assets were transferred despite not having their mnemonic phrases leaked and having minimal interaction with on-chain applications. However, at this stage, it has not been confirmed whether there is a common attack path for these incidents, nor is there any evidence that Ledger hardware wallets or their infrastructure itself has been compromised. The official team of Ledger has not yet made any statements regarding these suspected centralized coin theft incidents.
