According to CoinMeta, it is reported that Firmus is seeking $3 billion in financing after putting on hold the IPO plan. People familiar with the matter say that Firmus, a data center company supported by NVIDIA (NVDA.O), and its advisors are in negotiations with current investors, aiming to raise $2 billion to $3 billion through a private offering. Previously, the company abandoned its listing plans, which IPO was set to become one of the largest listings in Australia. Like many so-called “next-generation cloud service providers” (neoclouds), Firmus needs to continuously raise funds to advance its ongoing data center projects. Current investors had previously planned to contribute about half of the originally intended fundraising amount of Firmus, which may help to complete this round of financing more quickly. Some people familiar with the matter indicate that the financing structure has not yet been finalized and may combine equity financing and debt financing. They did not reveal whether NVIDIA will participate in this round of financing.
