2026-10-09 15:45:50
According to CoinMeta, SpaceX, the president of SpaceX, has pledged to give shares of her company worth approximately $300 million to over 2 million American children through Trump's account. Under the newly introduced rules from the Treasury Department, wealthy donors can directly donate shares of listed companies to Trump's accounts via charitable organizations, which provide tax benefits for the children. The Treasury Department has already opened accounts for nearly 60 million eligible children. This move is seen as a new way for billionaires to optimize their tax contributions through charitable donations. Shotwell and her husband stated that they will give each child one share of SpaceX stock, with special attention to children aged 11 to 17 in low-income areas.
