The US suspends visas for companies such as Microsoft and Adobe, sparking controversy

According to CoinMeta, as reported by Business Insider, U.S. Vice President JD Vance announced a suspension of H-1B visas for companies such as Microsoft, Adobe, reigniting debates about whether strict immigration policies protect American workers or harm American businesses. Vance pointed out that Microsoft's abuse in the PERM project was severe, claiming that for each employee laid off, half a foreign worker was hired in their place. Microsoft opposes this, stating that most of its H-1B applications were for existing employees rather than new hires. This move has also affected six major IT service companies that are closely related to India's tech industry. Immigration policy experts believe that this policy may lead to a decrease in high-income Indian talent and affect remittances and investment flows into Indian startups.
