According to CoinMeta, Nvidia's stock price fell by 2.94% on Thursday due to OpenAI informing investors that its annual revenue is approximately $50 billion, which is lower than the widely reported $68 billion from last month. Big Technology founder Alex Kantrowitz stated in CNBC that this discrepancy is mainly due to accounting issues. The closing price was $230.48, which is about 5% lower than the record high of $243.37 set on Tuesday. Nvidia and Ultramicro ( AMD ) have both signed multi-billion-dollar cooperation agreements with OpenAI, and therefore benefit directly from OpenAI's growth. AMD also fell by 3.9% on the same day. Kantrowitz pointed out that although Nvidia has risen by about 24% this year and its market value is close to $5.6 trillion, the market remains cautious about the prospects for AI's trading. He believes that the overall market depends on the performance of OpenAI and Anthropic, and any small issue could lead to a repeat of the selling pressure seen on Thursday. Kantrowitz expects Anthropic's initial public offering to take place within a few weeks, while OpenAI is scheduled for next year.
