2026-10-09 07:11:31
According to CoinMeta, the Cardano Foundation has separated its digital identity project, Veridian, and tokenized its shares using the newly introduced programmable token standard on the Cardano blockchain. Headquartered in Switzerland, the foundation will build tools for governments, enterprises, and AI agents to prove their identities and designate online activities. The company is led by Thomas A, a blockchain engineer who previously led decentralized trust and identity solutions at the Cardano Foundation. Mayfield plans to seek strategic investors in 2027. The CEO and chairman of the Cardano Foundation, Frederik Gregaard, stated: “Veridian is the first company to tokenize its own shares on our newly announced CIP-0113 yesterday.” The company has a total of 1 million shares, most of which have already been tokenized. It was also mentioned that the shares of Veridian provide a real-world application case for this standard, rather than just being theoretical.
