According to CoinMeta, Coinbase announced that starting from the last week of October 2026, USDC will become the default US dollar-stabilized coin for Samsung Wallet users in the United States. When users top up their stable coin balances on Samsung Wallet, USDC will automatically be displayed as the default option. The relevant assets will be held through Coinbase Prime and will utilize qualified custody services that meet the requirements of the New York State Department of Financial Services.
