According to CoinMeta, OpenAI began rolling out GPT-6 to ChatGPT users on October 8th. Paid users will first receive the version known as GPT-6 SOL, while free users will get GPT-6 Luna on the same day. OpenAI indicates that both models have been optimized for daily conversations. The first version of GPT-6 was delivered to paid customers last month, and the price of API has been reduced by at least 50% compared to GPT-5.6. Specifically, SOL is priced at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per output token, whereas Luna is priced at $0.10 per million input tokens and $0.50 per output token. OpenAI also includes additional GPT-6 security training to protect against cyberattacks, biological threats, and misuse of violent behaviors.
