According to CoinMeta, as reported by nada and news, nine Japanese institutions including Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Yamato Securities, SBI Securities, Progmat, and Datachain have announced the completion of the second-phase verification of “Project Trinity”. The project aims to eliminate the risk of settlement asymmetry through “securities-for-money” (DVP). During the tests, Yamato Securities and SBI Securities simulated the market of the Osaka Digital Exchange (ODX) and used corporate bonds issued by SBI VC Trade and trust-based stablecoins issued by Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation to complete two cross-chain synchronous settlements, thus verifying the feasibility of a T+2 settlement cycle at this stage.
