CoinShares Survey: Over Half of Respondents from Seven Countries Hold Digital Assets

CoinMeta data: A survey conducted by CoinShares shows that among 2,230 individuals in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and Switzerland who have investable assets of at least $500,000, more than half of respondents in all seven countries hold digital assets. In the US, UK, and Germany, the holding rate reaches 70%, while in Switzerland it is 69%. The average allocation of crypto assets is around 10% of their investment portfolios. Among current investors, 91% in the US, UK, and Germany indicate plans to further increase their allocation in 2026. The survey also reveals that Bitcoin is the most commonly held digital asset, with an average of 80% of crypto investors holding BTC, but 89% of these also hold other digital assets. Additionally, 55% of respondents prefer to use intermediaries such as brokerage firms, crypto ETF, or wealth management services rather than directly using exchanges. In the US, Germany, and Switzerland, about 40% of respondents who already have financial advisors believe that these advisors are too cautious regarding digital assets.
