According to CoinMeta, on September 17, X filed a lawsuit in the UK High Court, accusing two men of operating a bot network that siphon funds from its creator's payment plan. The lawsuit documents state that Vivek Kumar Sen, Zamyang Sherpa, and other unnamed individuals are accused of using six accounts to create a network that fabricated interactions related to Bitcoin in order to unlock creator revenue sharing. This scheme was in operation from July 2023 until it was shut down on September 7, 2026. X's chief legal advisor, James Burnham, confirmed this lawsuit, stating that they do not tolerate any fraudulent behavior and will take strong measures to protect the platform and the earnings of genuine creators.
