According to CoinMeta, Wu said that Circle has announced that its institutional service platform Circle Mint has launched a digital asset collateral lending (DABB) feature, which supports eligible institutional clients to collateralize BTC on the ARC and Ethereum networks to borrow USDC. Users can deposit BTC to mint CIRBTC supported 1:1 by the native BTC, and use these as collateral through third-party lending markets to borrow USDC which will directly go into the user's Circle Mint account. This service is initially integrated with the decentralized lending protocol Morpho, and in the future, it plans to support other protocols such as AAVE. The lending interest rates, collateral requirements, and liquidation thresholds are determined by the third-party markets.
