According to CoinMeta, despite a rebound in consumer spending and steady corporate investment, the U.S. economy's growth rate in the second quarter was still below expectations. Preliminary data released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis on Thursday showed that the U.S. GDP adjusted for inflation grew by 1.5% year-on-year in the second quarter. Net exports, which fluctuated significantly between quarters, overshadowed the underlying strength of domestic demand in the U.S. Consumer spending, which accounts for about two-thirds of U.S. economic activity, grew at an annualized quarterly rate of 3.2%. Meanwhile, driven by the boom in artificial intelligence investment, corporate investment continued to grow strongly.
