According to crypto analyst Ali Martinez, market sentiment around XRP has deteriorated, with sentiment on social media for this token dropping to its lowest level since July. Meanwhile, David Schwartz, one of the architects of CTO Emeritus for Ripple, stated that he has begun to block users who follow him everywhere on X, posting insults and accusations.
At the time of these two developments, the trading price of XRP was close to $1.19, having previously fallen by more than 7% earlier this week.
The market has turned bearish on XRP.
Martinez indicates that online discussions about XRP have clearly turned negative. However, he believes that this might actually be beneficial for the token.
Some traders pay attention to the moments when public sentiment is most pessimistic, because the market often moves in the opposite direction to the majority's views. Martinez states that a possible reversal head and shoulders bottom pattern seems to be forming on the XRP chart, which is generally seen as a signal that a downward trend is about to end.
“Bullish trades may not be overly crowded yet,” Martinez wrote, adding that most traders seem to have not noticed this pattern yet.
In a previous post, Martinez set the neckline of this pattern at $1.60; if it breaks through that level, it could point towards $2.10. Currently, the token is far below this level.
Schwartz Sets a boundary against spam replies
Schwartz indicates that recently, a large number of users have been posting replies in the threads where he responds to others' posts, and the content is often unrelated to cryptocurrencies. Many of these replies accuse him of fraud or directly refer to him as a "scammer."
According to Schwartz, these replies flood into the fan lists of the people he responds to, and as a result, some people have blocked him because of it. For this reason, he stated that whether the posts are critical or supportive, he will block these users whenever they do so.
“Whether your post is criticism or praise, I will block you as a result,” Schwartz wrote.
Schwartz added that he doesn't mind criticism or accusations as long as they contain genuine opinions rather than insults, and are posted in the right place, such as in his own posts. He also stated that if someone promises to stop such behavior, he is willing to lift the ban, 'even if you hate me very much.'
Create new space for the XRP project
A community member asked how builders could get Schwartz to notice the new XRP Ledger project, and suggested posting a thread every week for newcomers to introduce themselves. Schwartz responded, "That's a great idea!!!!"
Subsequently, he created a post inviting people to promote his XRP and XRP Ledger projects. He also welcomed posts about other crypto projects, as well as those related to non-crypto businesses.
