Recurrent Energy gives way to the Court Barton solar power plant in the UK, which has entered commercial operation
This solar project, located near Newton Abbot and with an installed capacity of 20 MWp, has begun commercial operation, contributing to the UK's transition to clean energy.
Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, November 5th / PRNewswire / -- Canadian Solar Inc. ("Canadian Solar") (Nasdaq ticker: CSIQ) , a subsidiary of Recurrent Energy and a global leader in the development, ownership, and operation of solar and energy storage assets, announced today that Court Barton Solar Farm, located in South Devon County, UK, has begun commercial operations.
The installed capacity of this power station is 20 MWp. It is expected to generate enough electricity each year to meet the clean energy needs of about 8,500 households and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 6,200 tons annually, which is equivalent to taking about 1,300 cars off the road.
