Blockchain security company CertiK is expanding its cooperation with digital asset enterprises and institutions in the UAE. The company's latest research indicates that four security incidents related to the UAE in 2026 resulted in losses of approximately $8.02 million.

  • CertiK It is recorded that four security incidents related to the United Arab Emirates in 2026 resulted in losses of $8.02 million.
  • Eligible Hub71 startups can obtain discounted security services and use CertiK Compliance for free.
  • Verification of the reserves for Gate Dubai confirms that, as of the relevant time point, the coverage rate of its 10 digital assets has reached at least 100%.

The company stated that a total of five incidents involving entities registered in or originating from the United Arab Emirates were identified this year. Losses for four of these cases have been recorded, while the amount involved in the fifth case has not yet been confirmed. CertiK pointed out that gaps in incident reporting and attribution mean that these figures may not reflect the full extent of the security activities.

Its local business advancement includes establishing cooperation with Abu Dhabi Hub71 and Gate Dubai, while also continuously expanding its engineering and business development teams in Dubai. The focus of this work is to assist digital asset companies in addressing security, compliance, and operational resilience issues, at a time when the UAE's financial industry is continuing to develop its digital asset business.

As the official provider of Hub71, CertiK offers discounted security services to qualified startups within the ecosystem that are located in the Abu Dhabi global market, and provides CertiK Compliance for free. This initiative is aimed at helping companies prepare for licensing requirements and to continuously carry out compliance management.

The focus of the collaboration between CertiK and Gate Dubai is on the transparency of reserves. In March 2026, the company completed an independent reserve certification verification for this exchange, which holds a VARA license. The verification confirmed that as of December 31, 2025, the reserve coverage rate for its 10 digital assets was at least 100%.

At the time these collaborations were established, institutions were still evaluating the necessary safeguards required to support digital asset services. At the 2026 Dubai Fintech Summit, CertiK hosted a session titledTrillion-Dollar Trust Gap: Why Institutional Finance Remains Cautious About Digital AssetsAt a media briefing, the obstacles faced by broader institutional participation were discussed.

"Financial institutions are making substantial progress in incorporating digital assets into financial services, but regulatory approval is just the starting point," said Jason Jiang, Chief Commercial Officer of CertiK.

He added that as the business scale expands, continuous investment in security and compliance is required to protect customer assets and manage risks.

CertiK indicates that its expanding presence in the United Arab Emirates reflects the company's efforts to support trust building and risk management in the broader field of digital assets. Its research also highlights the limitations of relying solely on publicly disclosed events to assess security risks in the region.
