The new "wealth building" VanEck for ETF sets the target Bitcoin allocation at 2%, with an allowable range of 1% to 5%, and obtains exposure through spot Bitcoin ETP.
This American asset management company has launched an actively managed exchange-traded open-end index fund ( ETF ) that combines the target allocation of stocks, bonds, and physical assets with Bitcoin.
According to the announcement on Tuesday, VanEck Wealth Builder ETF ( NYSE : WBMO ) invested in VanEck and a third-party ETF. According to the company's website, the target allocation for Bitcoin in this fund is set at 2%, with an allowable range of 1% to 5%. The Bitcoin exposure is not achieved by directly holding the cryptocurrency, but rather through spot Bitcoin ETP.
The fund is built upon the existing wealth construction model portfolios of VanEck, which have previously been made available to financial advisors through third-party wealth management platforms. Its strategy includes exposures to global stocks, fixed income, gold, and other physical assets, and is managed and rebalanced by VanEck.
VanEck, the head of the multi-asset solutions team, stated: "The traditional 60/40 portfolio is designed for different investment environments." David Schassler
He said that adding physical assets to stocks and bonds could help investors cope with a broader economic environment.
This launch follows closely on the cooperation reached in March between VanEck and the retirement platform Basic Capital; this collaboration has enabled some of this asset management company's digital asset trading products to be offered through 401(k) plans sponsored by American employers. According to company data, as of September 30th, VanEck managed assets amounting to approximately $244.1 billion.
