Ripple and Robinhood have expanded their cooperative relationship, introducing the RLUSD stablecoin into the retail and institutional businesses of Robinhood. At the same time, new integrations covering fund management, lending, and trading services have been added.
According to a announcement released on Tuesday, RLUSD is now available for use on Robinhood Chain, Bitstamp, by, and Robinhood, and it is planned to be launched on Robinhood later this year. At the time of the announcement, Ripple was holding its Swell 2026 conference in New York. Robinhood also plans to use this stablecoin for institutional settlements on XRP Ledger.
Robinhood will also adopt Ripple Treasury to manage its global cash and liquidity operations, including payment processing, cash flow forecasting, and inter-company transactions. This integration extends the cooperation between the two parties from customer-facing services to the financial infrastructure within Robinhood.
The cooperation between the two parties has also strengthened the existing relationship between Robinhood and Ripple Prime. Ripple Prime currently provides financing services for Bitstamp, by, and Robinhood, and plans to launch perpetual futures trading on that exchange later this year.
According to DeFiLlama data, RLUSD was launched in December 2024 and has currently reached a market value of 2.57 billion US dollars, of which nearly 1 billion US dollars has been issued on XRP Ledger. Robinhood indicates that as of August, it has 28.6 million funded customers globally, which may become an important distribution channel for this stablecoin.

Ripple Extended to Hosting and Trade Financing
On Tuesday, Ripple also announced an expansion of its partnership with the financial services giant New York Mellon Bank ( BNY ). The latter can now support the custody of XRP and RLUSD through its digital asset custody platform. Both parties plan to collaborate to enable BNY customers to directly mint and redeem RLUSD through this bank, as well as to expand support for tokenized assets issued on XRP Ledger.
In addition, Ripple has also reached a cooperation with the working capital platform C2FO, utilizing RLUSD to integrate the financing and settlement processes of its newly launched Instant Pay service into XRP Ledger. This service is designed to enable suppliers to receive payments for approved invoices within seconds, rather than having to wait for several days as with traditional bank settlements.
A spokesperson told Cointelegraph that the service is currently in testing, and it is expected to be launched within a controlled scope. The first batch of RLUSD transactions will be completed on XRP Ledger by the end of this year.
One day before the release of this series of announcements on Tuesday, Ripple had just received final approval from the US Federal Reserve (Office of the Comptroller of the Currency) to establish a national trust bank. This institution will manage the reserve assets that support RLUSD and provide digital asset custody services, while the issuance of stablecoins will still be the responsibility of Ripple's regulated subsidiary in New York.
