Netanyahu says Israel is preparing to deal with possible global financial restrictions
According to The Israel Times, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he has requested the development of a blockchain-based solution to help the country's economy withstand potential international financial sanctions.
In a television interview, Netanyahu warned that Israel could face measures including banking sanctions, and stated that the country must establish an economic system capable of circumventing these restrictions. He mentioned currencies that could be used to avoid such limitations and said that he was working on addressing this issue.
Netanyahu also stated that Israel should not expect U.S. military aid to continue at past levels.
At the time these remarks were made, there were still a few days left until Israel's elections on October 27th. According to data from the Jewish People's Policy Institute, 64 countries have already taken or are considering taking economic, financial, or diplomatic measures against Israel.
The specific details of this plan have not yet been announced.
