The leadership transition has enabled the company to enter the next phase of growth during its expansion period, while extending its autonomous and attack-tested security capabilities from the organization's own vulnerabilities to those of its suppliers upon which it relies.

Boston, October 16th / PRNewswire / -- Autonomous Offensive Security Company SpartanX announces the appointment of Erik Hardy as Chief Executive Officer, and introduces Vendor Management, a new feature designed to bring real, attack-tested security posture into third-party risk management. The company's founder, Diego Spahn, will take on the role of Co-Founder and Chief Technology and Product Officer, and will continue to remain on the board of directors.

Hardy previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer. This appointment to CEO is part of the company's broader leadership team expansion. Co-founder Alejandro Aguirre Soto has been appointed as Senior Vice President of Engineering, and co-founder Martin Voelk as Chief Research Officer. This adjustment comes after the company's rapid growth and is aimed at ensuring that each leader can play their maximum role as the company continues to expand.

This announcement is launched in conjunction with the introduction of Vendor Management, which is also one of the most important new features to date for the SpartanX platform. Third-party vulnerabilities remain one of the hardest risks for security teams to assess, and most projects still rely on self-declaration questionnaires and audits at certain points in time. Vendor Management adopts a different approach: it organizes its suppliers to connect to SpartanX, where each supplier operates within their own workspace and chooses which assets to share. Customers then see the risk profile of that supplier, which is based on continuous autonomous testing rather than mere checklist verification. Strict privacy boundaries ensure that each organization can only view the supplier's risk profile and the ratings of shared assets, while the supplier's underlying findings and internal data remain entirely their own.

The Olympus version, which carries Vendor Management, has also expanded the platform's core offensive capabilities. SpartanX has added hundreds of specialized AI proxies, covering a wider range of enterprise applications and technologies. At the same time, new retesting functions have been incorporated to enable the team to confirm whether the issues identified in the code and on mobile devices have indeed been fixed. Overall, these new features further enhance the platform's ability to demonstrate which vulnerabilities can actually be exploited, covering more areas within the organizational environment.

“SpartanX has created something unprecedented in the market: an autonomous platform that launches attacks in the manner of real attackers, on a scale that no human team can match,” said Erik Hardy, CEO of SpartanX. “Our customers are not only identifying vulnerabilities but also proving which ones are truly significant. With Vendor Management, we extend this same verification capability to a part of the attack surface that every company is concerned about but that is almost impossible to measure: their suppliers. I am honored to lead this team into the next chapter.”

SpartanX is pioneering the Autonomous Exposure Management category. This leadership transition, along with the launch of Vendor Management, marks a new phase for the company as it brings independently developed and attack-tested security capabilities to its growing base of corporate clients.
