Lund, Sweden, October 15, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- International Cybersecurity and Medical Imaging IT Company Sectra ( STO : SECT B ) announced that its fixed-line Sectra Tiger /S secure communication phones have been approved by the Swedish authorities. This approval applies to information communications of a “secret” ( SECRET ) security level, allowing for the transmission of highly confidential information between various Swedish regulatory agencies as well as within these agencies through the conference call function.

The "Secret" security level applies to a type of information that, if disclosed without authorization, could harm national security. Such information must be transmitted through approved security solutions, which must meet the corresponding confidentiality requirements to ensure protection against unauthorized access. These solutions must also be capable of withstanding future technological developments, and the protection period should be at least 30 to 40 years.

Sectra Communications President Magnus Skogberg stated: "Our new solution has received 'secret' level approval, which proves that it meets the highest security requirements and also demonstrates our capability to provide solutions that can be relied upon by both civil and military defenses in the most critical environments."

The fixed-line telephone approved this time is the latest product in the Sectra Tiger /S product family, which boasts quantum-resistant capabilities. This product family also includes a mobile version, which has already been approved by national security authorities, the European Union, and NATO, and can be used for information and communication at the highest level of confidentiality, up to "secret." The company states that the mobile version can transmit information at the highest level of confidentiality in mobile scenarios, while the fixed version adds a point-to-point teleconference function to enhance collaboration efficiency. Since both versions belong to the same system, fixed terminals and mobile terminals can communicate with each other.

Magnus Skogberg indicates that 'maintaining secure communication capabilities is an absolute necessity for achieving secure collaboration.' In such scenarios, there are often multiple people gathered in the same room who need to engage in a 'secret' level of conversation. With this approved fixed-line telephone, they can do so with high-quality sound. This makes communication more efficient and also enhances the security of cooperation among important participants. It is an important part of strengthening our national security.
