Kraken Launched in the UAE: Payward What encrypted trading services will be provided?
The parent company of Kraken, Payward, has obtained full market approval from the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), which will allow it to launch regulated services in the United Arab Emirates.
In the initial stages of launch, customers will be able to trade spot and margin in the cryptocurrency market using UAE dirhams, deposit and withdraw AED, utilize pledged assets and xStocks, and conduct encrypted transfers through Krak. Institutional customers will also have access to over-the-counter spot trading as well as Kraken Prime.
Cryptocurrency derivatives and more income-generating products are expected to be launched by the end of 2026 and in 2027, but regulatory approval is still required.
