The international expansion of Meanwhile focuses on BTC Life to Pay. This is a lifetime life insurance product aimed at wealthy clients residing outside of the United States, and it was launched at the beginning of 2026.
Unlike traditional insurance policies that require repeated payments, BTC Life to Pay allow customers to purchase coverage by making a one-time payment in Bitcoin premiums. In exchange, the insurance company provides a guaranteed death benefit valued at BTC.
The value of this policy grows in Bitcoin, and customers can borrow against the value of the policy after one year. According to the company's product description, policyholders can borrow up to 90% of the policy value, with no fixed repayment schedule, and no additional margin requirements.
This insurance arrangement can be held by individuals, trusts, or companies. Meanwhile indicates that this structure is intended for use in inheritance planning as well as for managing wealth held in the form of Bitcoin.
Since the policy is priced with BTC, its guaranteed compensation is also expressed in Bitcoin units. However, as the market price of this cryptocurrency fluctuates, its value in US dollars will also change.
The company also offers another product named BTC 10- Pay, targeted at American taxpayers. Unlike the international version that requires a one-time payment, this product allows for installment payments over a period of 10 years.
Meanwhile operates these two products through a regulated insurance framework, under which premium collection and policy payouts are both conducted in Bitcoin. Its financial reserves and audited financial statements are also maintained in the same cryptocurrency.
