San Francisco, USA, October 8, 2026 – RAFA Protocol is a set of proxy fund management protocols designed to make investing more transparent and accessible. The company announced today that it has been publicly launched on Base. RAFA is a project under Tides Network and has received support from Botwork Orange and Tides Network; the investors of the latter two include Coinbase Ventures, Arrington Capital, Gate.io, OKX, and NGC Ventures.
RAFA integrates fund shares, approved assets, positions, fees, and performance into a verifiable on-chain record. Before connecting their wallets, participants can view the fund's strategy, positions, fees, and past performance; after connection, they can track every transaction on the chain.
Proxy tools developed from within the industry
The RAFA team has previously provided enterprise software to American asset management institutions. That experience revealed persistent shortcomings: access to top-tier strategies was limited to a few investors; strategies, custody, reporting, and distribution were scattered across different systems; and participants often only saw a partial picture of fund performance too late. These inefficiencies undermined both investors' opportunities and returns.
RAFA uses artificial intelligence to fill these gaps. Its research agents immediately process documents, phone conference records, market data, and announcements of on-chain activities, conduct backtesting, and issue risk warnings before any issues arise with positions. They also display all sources and assumptions. Participants can use the same tools to ask the agents why a particular fund has risen, what its actual exposure is, and how its drawdowns, fees, and concentration compare to other products.
The design goal of these outputs is to be verifiable, rather than to require users to trust them blindly. The Verifiable Precision Protocol of RAFA is described in detail in their network architecture paper. It aims to make encryption commitments for each dataset and transformation in the financial data pipeline, record every model and data update in an tamper-proof ledger, and integrate these progressively proven steps into a certificate that can be verified within milliseconds.
Proxy co-management of funds
RAFA Separates responsibilities to ensure that it is always clear who is doing what:
- Fund creators are responsible for investment authorization. They define strategies, make trading decisions, set disclosure fees, and bear responsibility for risks and outcomes.
- AI research platform demonstrates its working process. The agent organizes research, backtesting, assumptions, and risk markings, supporting human decision-making rather than holding autonomous trading authority.
- The RAFA protocol is responsible for enforcing basic rules. It handles whitelist assets, settlements, fund shares, and position records, but it does not select strategies.
Creator access rights will be opened in phases according to the published requirements and risk controls. Each fund will display who operates it, what assets can be held, and whether it is currently live, in testing, or planned. The roadmap covers alpha strategies, tokenized stocks and real-world assets, the computing power market, as well as disclosed credit portfolios and special purpose vehicles.
Proxy funds have been launched on Base.
RAFA is launched on Base. Its asset allowlist, deposit, fund share issuance, and redemption processes have been tested on Base Sepolia. The core fund infrastructure is now online, and production strategies, disclosures, and controls will be rolled out in phases. Every transaction will be recorded on the blockchain.
Botwork Orange, co-founder; Incyt, Chief Executive Officer and founder; as well as BitMine Immersion Technologies (member of the independent board of directors of BMNR), Mike Maloney stated: "Botwork Orange invests in further enhancing human prosperity through machines, which conduct transactions and coordination on an open, decentralized track. The fund is where prosperity is truly distributed, yet today it represents the part of finance that is least recognizable by machines. RAFA addresses this issue at the protocol level by providing a public record of holdings, fees, and performance, and extends the roadmap to tokenized stocks, computing power markets, and disclosed credit tools. We support RAFA because the machine economy requires a transparent place for capital to be stored, and 'public ledger, public priority' is the correct foundation."
