New York and Washington, October 7th / PRNewswire / -- AI, a capture and proposal platform for government contractors, announced today that it has obtained Class C certification from the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FRAMP) through collaboration with Knox Systems ( Knox ). Knox is the largest and longest-operating federal managed cloud. With this certification, federal agencies can now use Sweetspot's AI capture and proposal platform, which helps government contractors identify new relevant opportunities, track awards and renewals, and prepare proposals.

Many government contracting teams use SAM.gov, GovWin, Microsoft Word, and SharePoint tools, as well as a small amount of AI tools. Intelligence information is stored in one system, project pipelines are in another system, and proposals are in a third system; people can only manually transfer data between these systems. Proposals often take weeks to process, and institutional knowledge is locked away in previously submitted materials, causing teams to miss opportunities that could have been identified earlier. In addition, contractors handle some of the most sensitive work for government clients, and the tools they use themselves pose a risk. AI has now become a regular part of government contractors' operations, but these tools typically rely on trust alone for their security. This can lead to these tools being blocked by security teams or used in an unreviewed manner.

Sweetspot indicates that its platform can help contractors address both of these challenges simultaneously. The platform replaces the fragmented approach to proposal development with a continuous workflow, allowing the entire process from opportunity discovery to awarding to be completed within an editor similar to Word. Teams can get up to speed without the need for retraining. With the implementation of FedRAMP Class C certification, the entire platform now operates within authorized Knox boundaries. Institutions can reuse existing authorizations to adopt Sweetspot without the need for their own review; contractors can also bring previously shelved projects, including those involving institutional data, into the same platform for processing.

Sweetspot The Chief Executive Officer Sachin Subramanian stated: "Government contractors will lose the bidding because the work is scattered across more than a dozen tools, and by the time it's too late, no one can see the big picture of a particular project. Sweetspot is where the entire project takes place; from identifying opportunities to submitting proposals, everything happens here, and it handles some of the most sensitive data for contractors. That's why we built it according to the government's own security standards. FedRAMP Class C Certification, combined with our CMMC Level 2 certification and SOC 2 Type II, means that contractors' security teams and their institutional clients can trust the AI platform that handles capture and proposal work."

Knox has eliminated the bottleneck in Sweetspot's authorization regarding FedRAMP, significantly reducing the compliance timeline and lowering costs. As a result, Sweetspot now possesses both FedRAMP Class C certification and the CMMC Level 2 certification issued by C3PAO, allowing it to undergo independent evaluations under both frameworks that are of concern to federal buyers. The platform also features AI zero-data retention, FIPS 140-bit encryption, infrastructure limited to the United States, as well as personnel and support services located within the U.S.

Knox Systems CEO Irina Denisenko stated: "Prior to this, Sweetspot was still a commercial product. Institutions were unable to use it, and contractors had to exclude the most sensitive project tasks – especially those involving institutional data. With its FedRAMP certification, Sweetspot can now help contractors use AI securely, integrate capture and proposal tasks onto a single platform, and ultimately win more government business."
