Hefei, September 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The organizers announced at a briefing held in Anhui on September 29 that the 2026 World Manufacturing Conference has come to an end, with a total of 790 projects signed, amounting to 363.4 billion yuan (approximately 54.2 billion US dollars).
This conference was held from September 20th to 23rd, with the theme of "Intelligent Manufacturing World · Creating a Better Future." During this period, there were keynote speeches, industry matchmaking sessions, research and data releases, as well as exhibition displays.
Guests and exhibitors from a record-breaking 54 countries and regions participated in the event. The United Kingdom served as the host country, with President of Côte d'Ivoire sending a congratulatory letter. The conference also featured 11 international cooperation project activities.
Among the 217 exhibits, there is an 18% increase from the previous year, including an 180-qubit superconducting quantum processor and a BEST burning plasma experiment superconducting tokamak. Of the 790 signed projects, 708 are advanced manufacturing projects, with a total signing amount of 331.7 billion yuan. The signed projects include an advanced semiconductor research and development and manufacturing production line.
The participants included 84 representatives from relevant national ministries and commissions, the organizing units, and supporting institutions, as well as 63 academicians and experts from the two academies.
Over half of the total guests were international participants, comprising 88 diplomatic envoys and representatives of cooperating governments, 205 representatives from international organizations and business associations, 221 representatives from Fortune Global 500 companies and multinational corporations based overseas, as well as 8 internationally renowned researchers and experts in their respective fields.
Sichuan, as the host province, participated in the conference along with delegations from 28 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, as well as Hong Kong and Macau. The attendees also included 160 representatives from 38 central enterprises and 628 senior executives of Chinese companies.
In an exhibition area of 80,000 square meters, the events organized by the organizers, including commercial exhibitions and integrated unmanned system demonstrations, attracted 1,230 exhibitors, showcasing over 15,000 products and technologies. The number of offline visitors reached 74,000, while online viewership amounted to 4.54 million; there were more than 5,900 transactions on-site, with a transaction volume exceeding 600 million yuan.
The conference released over 160 technologies, products, reports, and case studies. On-site, 10 industry-leading technologies and products from China and overseas were also unveiled, including quantum diamond chip testers and humanoid robots.
A total of 27 matchmaking events and special projects led to the establishment of 87 agreements or memorandums of understanding. Partners from Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang participated in 453 projects, with a signed amount of 154.72 billion yuan; the six cities in northern Anhui signed 194 projects, totaling 64.77 billion yuan.
The "Central Enterprises in Anhui" event facilitated the signing of 16 projects, with a total contract value of 39 billion yuan, including a large data center project located in Wuhu Economic and Technological Development Zone with an investment of over 10 billion yuan.
The organizers introduced the innovative measures of the exhibition, the international role of the conference, diplomatic and Hong Kong/Macao resources, the achievements of cooperation with central state-owned enterprises, as well as the release of reports, technologies, and products. The organizers stated that this conference showcased the manufacturing strength of Anhui and China, as well as their global perspective, while also promoting investment cooperation and cross-border industrial collaboration.
