Alphalita, Georgia, USA, September 30th / PRNewswire / -- Mynd.ai , Inc. ("Mynd") ("NYSE American : MYND") Today, it was announced that its subsidiary, Promethean ®, a provider of educational technology solutions, has launched AI Companion for its Explore Everything ® applications. This feature utilizes artificial intelligence on the device side and, by enabling Apple Intelligence ™, helps educators transform existing classroom content into customized teaching materials in just seconds.

AI Companion is now available on compatible Apple devices. Educators can select any elements on the Explain Everything page – including text, images, or drawings – and generate content that naturally integrates into their courses.

From lesson plans, quizzes, and vocabulary lists, to suggested follow-up steps and activities for deeper understanding, teachers can create additional materials without having to switch between multiple platforms or interrupt their workflow. The generated content is directly placed into the Explain Everything canvas, making it convenient for further adjustments and integration into the course.

AI Companion can also create audio narrations, translate texts for learners whose mother tongue is not English, and generate accessible descriptions, helping educators to meet various needs without relying on additional tools.

AI Companion runs entirely on the user's device, without the need for an internet connection, and ensures that data does not leave the device. As a result, teachers can use this feature in any working scenario, and schools do not have to undertake additional privacy management tasks associated with third-party processing.

Explain Everything is a course creation and delivery software that has won numerous awards, recognized by Apple as App Store Editors ' Choice, and has been downloaded over 25 million times globally. This platform integrates content creation, presentation, recording, and collaboration into one seamless environment. AI Companion joins the ranks of existing intelligent tools, including Image Playground ™, Isolate Subject, Recognize Drawings, and Scan Text, supporting image generation, subject segmentation, drawing recognition, and the digitization of handwritten notes.

Promethean Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer Michael Strand stated: “Explain Everything has always been committed to enabling content creators to freely create and deliver their materials in the way that best suits them.”

“AI Companion is a natural extension of this concept, directly integrating practical AI into the teaching workflow. By reducing the manual effort required to create customized and accessible content, it allows teachers to spend more time focusing on adjusting their courses and engaging learners.”

Explain Everything AI Companion is now available on devices running iPadOS 27 or iOS 27 and later versions, with Apple Intelligence enabled.

Pricing

AI Companion is provided free of charge to Explain Everything Advanced and Pro users, with no additional fees required. For more information, please visit Explain Everything, or download it from Apple App Store.
