Dallas, September 30th / PRNewswire / -- TXSE Group, the parent company of the Texas Securities Exchange ( Texas Stock Exchange ), announced today that it has successfully completed its third round of financing, expanding its capital to $430 million. This milestone comes on the one-year anniversary of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ( SEC ) approving TXSE 's application ( Form ), allowing it to operate as a national securities exchange. TXSE is the first national securities exchange in Texas and also the only exchange in the state to have operational, infrastructure, and active main board listing services.

TXSE Group Chairman and CEO James H Lee stated: "The real competition for listing on the main board has arrived, and it will continue. Our historic scale of capital reflects that the market's need for a legitimate third-party listing option has been recognized at the institutional level, and that is precisely the direction in which we are investing. While traditional stock exchanges focus on fintech, predictive analytics, energy markets, mortgage lending, data services, and other areas, TXSE is dedicated to becoming the best exchange operator in the world. Our fortress-like capital strength gives us the resources to fulfill our mission by aligning with issuers and speaking up for them, thereby improving the environment of the public stock market."

The company stated that this round of financing has enabled TXSE Group to have a record cash surplus and has resulted in the largest amount of capital raised by a new exchange. The existing shareholders of TXSE Group contributed over 75% of the funds for this round of financing, reflecting the deep and firm confidence of the world's largest financial institutions in it. Major shareholders include the world's largest institutional manager BlackRock, the world's largest retail financial institution Charles Schwab, the world's largest liquidity provider Citadel Securities, as well as J.P. There are also three of the world's largest investment banks: Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and Bank of America, among others; in addition, there are other leading institutions as well:

  • Direct or control individuals or entities that are listed companies across multiple industries and of varying sizes, with a combined market value of over $4 trillion;
  • Nine of the top ten global liquidity providers, representing over 85% of U.S. stock order flow; as well as
  • The largest initiator of numerous ETFs globally, representing over 1,000 ETFs, has a combined asset management scale of 11 trillion US dollars, which accounts for more than two-thirds of the total assets of the United States' ETF, which amount to over 16 trillion US dollars.

TXSE Group Chief Financial Officer Jaime Gow added, "Our record cash surplus has further strengthened TXSE's capital reserves and also provides flexibility for strategic initiatives. We look forward to leveraging our capital strength to accelerate the main board listing and the expansion of our ongoing trading business."

As this financing round was completed, there was a noticeable increase in announcements across the United States regarding companies and the listing of ETF motherboards. In just the past 20 days alone, mature listed companies with a combined market value of $115 billion have announced their transition from the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ to the Texas Securities Exchange.

What happens to your tokenized assets if the issuer goes bankrupt?
A tokenized government bond can be transferred across chains in just a few seconds, and tokenized stocks can also be traded around the clock. However, when problems do arise, the most critical question is: if the company behind the tokens goes bankrupt, what exactly do you legally own? The answer depends less on blockchain and more on the legal structure behind those tokens.
