Shearwater Health appoints Conduent and Accenture executive Steve Heintz as Chief Operating Officers, effective immediately. Shearwater Health is the founding company of Clinical Process Outsourcing (CPO ®), and is also a global enterprise that focuses on clinical staff-led medical operations. The company states that Heintz will be responsible for the company's global operations, as it continues to expand its clinical staff-led delivery model and enhance its clinical capacity provided to medical institutions worldwide.

As the Chief Operating Officer, Heintz will lead the global operations of Shearwater. The company stated that as they continue to expand services led by clinical personnel and enhance the role of technology within the organization, he will be responsible for driving related efforts. Heintz possesses over 25 years of experience in global healthcare operations leadership, with expertise in operational excellence, profit and loss management, strategic growth, and market expansion. His leadership experience in the healthcare sector includes a tenure at Accenture where he was in charge of global healthcare operations, encompassing the full range of clinical BPO capabilities, with responsibilities covering operations, growth strategy, market entry execution, and strategic partnerships. More recently, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Conduent's commercial operations, responsible for customer service delivery and strategy for a global organization of over 37,000 people, and managed a budget of $1 billion as the company expanded its technology-enabled products.

Heintz indicates that "medical institutions have taken on tasks that exceed their individual capabilities, which has led them to set higher expectations for the partners they choose. Heintz will replace Todd Silmon. The company stated that Silmon will continue to serve during the transition period and will work closely with Heintz to ensure continuity for the Shearwater team and customers.
