Hitron Technologies and Airties announced the establishment of a new strategic partnership at SCTE TechExpo26 in Atlanta on Monday. The goal is to help internet service providers (ISP) reach out to the long-neglected small and medium-sized enterprise (SMB) market. The joint solution will combine Hitron's high-performance SMB gateways with Airties Pro software to fill the market gap between residential broadband and enterprise-level systems. Traditional Wi-Fi connectivity platforms have always presented SMB with a dilemma: residential-grade broadband is low-cost and easy to operate, but it lacks the security, network isolation, and business continuity required by SMB; enterprise-level solutions offer stronger performance and security, but they are more costly, more complex, and have longer deployment cycles, often constituting overconfiguration for smaller-scale environments. The combination of Airties Pro and Hitron is aimed at providing critical business capabilities to SMB in a simpler and more affordable manner, while also helping ISP to seize untapped monetization opportunities.
