After obtaining approval from the British High Court, Satsuma began to proceed with the return of £30.7 million to its shareholders. The company had previously sold some bitcoins and plans to complete the cash distribution and delisting arrangements according to the schedule.

After Bitcoin is sold, a refund of funds is provided.

The company sold 669.4867 units of BTC from July 24 to July 31, with an average transaction price of £47,667 per unit, resulting in a cash inflow of £31,912,395. After deducting transaction and termination fees, the amount that can still be used to repay shareholders is approximately £30.7 million, according to the company's calculations.

Shareholders are required to receive their payments by September 28 at the latest.

The company stated that eligible investors will receive their payments via cheque, bank transfer, or the CREST accounting method, no later than September 28th. On the record date, the company held £35,324,953 in cash, which includes funds from subsidiary accounts.

Bitcoin Treasury Route Shifts to Liquidation

Satsuma was formerly known as TAO Alpha. In July 2025, the company announced a name change and shifted to a Bitcoin treasury strategy. It introduced investors such as Pantera Capital, Digital Currency Group, and Kraken; some of the financing was even completed with physical Bitcoin contributions. Subsequently, in December 2025, the company sold 579 BTC to repay the holders of convertible bonds who did not choose to convert them into shares.

Additional information:In a previous shareholder vote by the company, 90.63% supported the return of capital, and 90.59% supported delisting.
