Binance has updated its platform token list, announcing that it will remove 12 tokens from Binance Alpha later on September 4th. This adjustment has drawn market attention, but the platform stated that the affected assets will not become immediately unusable, and users can still continue to withdraw or sell them.
First, stop recharging. Withdrawal and selling are still allowed.
According to Binance's disclosure, the tokens that were removed this time include BOS, MAIGA, TIMI, U (Union), SERAPH, RVV, AIAV, PENGUIN, and SN3, totaling 12 types.
Binance stated that once the removal takes effect, the first to be affected will be the recharge functions for these tokens. In other words, related tokens will no longer support further transfers to Binance Alpha.
However, the platform also states that after the token is removed from Binance Alpha, users can still withdraw it to other wallets and continue to sell it on the platform. Therefore, holders will not immediately lose the ability to dispose of their assets on the day of removal.
The platform did not provide a specific reason.
For this adjustment, Binance did not disclose the specific reasons for the removal of individual tokens in its explanation. Reports mention that such actions typically occur after the platform has conducted an evaluation over a period of time, involving tokens that experience significant volatility or are more susceptible to manipulation risks.
Current public information indicates that this adjustment is mainly aimed at expanding the token support range for Binance Alpha, rather than directly freezing users' holdings or closing all exit channels.
Binance reminds users that they can handle their assets on their own.
There are mainly two ways to handle it as offered by Binance: either transfer the tokens to an external wallet or complete the sale within the platform.
If the user chooses to sell, Binance suggests selecting the corresponding token on the Alpha page and completing the operation through “Sell” within “Instant”.
This means that this delisting is more closely related to the platform's reduction of the display and support range for certain tokens. In the short term, what is more worth paying attention to is whether more tokens will be added to the adjustment list in the future, and whether the liquidity of these related tokens will be affected as a result.
